I made this Raw Choc Orange Cheesecake originally for my Mums 60th last July, but in true #mummybrain style I was too disorganized (and rather disheveled) to get any pictures of the Beautiful square chocolate and orange slab covered in raw brownie bliss balls, drizzled with dark chocolate and fresh orange segments– devo.
So it’s taken me this long to publish the recipe despite being hounded (lovingly hounded) to make it again and take some pics, because I mean seriously, who wants to try making something themselves when there is no pretty pic to inspire them?!
While the texture is worlds apart from that of Jaffas, I couldn’t help but be instantly transported back in time to a ten year old sitting in a movie cinema (probably watching TMNT!) when I taste tested this dessert….
Have you ever suffered an Identity Crisis?
One day you wake up and realise you have absolutely no idea who you are.
Your day now revolves around changing nappies, the ‘eat your breakfast’ fight, picking up toys, colouring with crayons, washing dishes, washing clothes, the ‘eat your lunch’ fight, building with blocks, more dirty nappies, pick up more toys, more washing, the ‘eat your dinner’ fight, bedtime stories, washing dishes, pick up more toys, and while it’s amazing to have these beautiful little humans to spend your days with have you ever just wondered…
No two things on earth belong together more than Peanut Butter & Chocolate.
It’s a match made in heaven with the rich creaminess of decadent silky chocolate and the salty crunch of perfectly roasted peanuts, arrrgh it’s making me feel giddy just thinking about this perfect pairing that Reece’s discovered long ago.
If you don’t like Peanut butter, then I am afraid we can’t be friends. Wait, my Mother in law hates peanut butter…..but, she LOVED this cake!
THAT is how good this combo is!
For those of you reading this who don’t know me personally (yet), and haven’t picked up on this from previous blog posts and recipes…
